The business breakfast provided valuable insights into both the opportunities and challenges businesses face when moving toward more sustainable energy practices, focusing on how the programme can support them on this journey.
Alistair Menary, Project Manager for the MSW Net Zero Programme, kicked off the event by welcoming everyone and outlining how the programme helps businesses embrace sustainability and navigate the growing green economy.
Heather Mackey from Foyle Food Group shared how Foyle is working to reduce its environmental impact and the lessons they’ve learned along the way.
Finance experts Andrew Beare from Danske Bank and Susan McKane from the British Business Bank followed with advice on how businesses can access green finance to support their move toward sustainability. They shared practical tips and examples of how companies can secure funding for green projects.
The morning also featured a panel discussion with Power NI’s Ian Fraser and Lewis Clarke from Encom Energy. They focused on energy management and green energy solutions, offering practical advice on how businesses can reduce emissions, save energy, and improve efficiency.
