The price you pay for electricity is increasing by 4% on 1 December 2024.
Even though global wholesale energy costs have stabilised in recent months, there has been an increase in other market and network related costs.
This means that you will see an increase of 4% to the price you pay, which means on average you will be paying around 10p more per day.*
Power NI is the only regulated electricity supplier that is price-regulated by the Utility Regulator. This means that they review and agree any changes to our tariffs, ensuring that you pay a fair price.

Following our price change, when you purchase a Power NI Keypad top up you will receive a one-off price change powercode (which will be 40 or 60 digits, depending on your tariff). You will need to key in all digits on your Keypad followed by the # key.

With our best deal, our online billing customers can save up to £60 [2] a year on their electricity, as well as spread costs with Direct Debit payments and view bills, letters and energy usage online. Keypad customers get uncapped discounts, along with fee electricity when topping up £50 or more via the Power NI website or mobile app.
[1] the £64 per year decrease is calculated using Power NI standard Home Energy unit rate and an average annual consumption of 3,200 kWh.
